Philips resistors are cheaper than Sylvania resistors, but Philips bulbs don't produce as much brightness. A system and replacement service life of only 4 years is assumed. They usually last longer but my OEM burned out after 4 years on this machine. Have been working for over 20 years. LED = one-time installation of resistors and lamps. It took about 20 minutes. OEM = four installation replacements. About 10 minutes each. That's 20 minutes saved over 20 years. What is more valuable to you? 20 minutes or $16? The LOLBulb brightness of the new LED bulbs is almost the same as the OEM bulbs. I'm worried that a bad LED won't trigger a bulb change warning because the resistors create an artificial load. Result. Leave them at the factory if you have a lamp warning system.
