I'm torn on how to see them. On the one hand, all Keene are great sandals. On the other hand, I'm returning them because I like Whisper a lot more. Be it for hiking or walking. After trying them out, I found Whisper to be a much better fit for my needs. Whispers can also be worn in water, but they are not specifically designed for water as their primary purpose. Here are the differences: The Clearwater sole is thinner and flatter (less supportive) than the Whisper. It's also tighter. All of this makes sense as a water shoe, but I prefer the shorter, grippier, and softer Whisper sole for all-day hikes and walks.
