Cast Iron, Stainless Steel, Cosmetics, Wood: All-Purpose Mineral Oil VIEW PIX

I have cast iron, wooden cutting boards, stainless steel and dry hands. What does all this have in common? You need mineral oil. This large plastic jar holds 32 ounces so it will last me at least a year. It is odorless, transparent and easy to apply. I use mineral oil to polish my stainless steel appliances and it leaves them streak free and shiny with no stickiness. To freshen up my old cast iron, I would put it in my hot pans and rub it into the surface. It didn't smoke and didn't discolour; the cast iron just soaked it up and brought my tired pans back to life. I also used it for my cutting boards. It does not darken the wood at all and penetrates easily into oak and bamboo boards. If you find your hair frizzy during the day, you can put a few drops on your hands and then rub it into your hair to tame flyaways. The only thing I would have liked would have been the pumps as it was a bit difficult to get a small amount by throwing them over as it is a bit heavy and the hole is big.
