By the look of them when I opened the package they looked like a size small. They were tight to get on but honestly fit like a glove. Not uncomfortably tight and I'm a pear shape so all my weight is in my rear, hip, and thighs. I honestly wouldn't get a size up but if you dont like things super fitted you might want to size up one.They do feel very nice though they're not too thick but thick enough not too show off every nook and cranny. Not see through from what I can tell. I do wish they had pockets on the sides like some yoga leggings do but they do have a little card/phone pocket in the front. I haven't been able to test the UPF yet but will update when I do. I have photosensitivity though and scoured the reviews before purchasing and people with similar health issues highly reviewed the upf protection.
