Ideal for printing on textiles

Speedball Fabric Ink has good adhesion, covers a rubber or linoleum block well and still manages to produce a nice, clear print on fabric (I print on linen, shantung silk and cotton). ). It's also inexpensive. I've experimented with a number of other water washable inks, either by hand pressure or with a small speedball hand press, and these inks work very well, penetrate the fabric quite well and, very importantly, dry quickly! Cleaning is a breeze with just soap and water and there are no fumes. It retains its viscosity in the tube and is much easier to work with than something like screen printing ink on fabric. I usually use watercolor ink to etch onto fabric and although the colors get richer it takes an agonizingly long two weeks to dry. Speedball ink dries in 48-72 hours. You don't need to do anything to adjust the color after printing. Just wait a few days. i washed it The color goes well with the fabric. Cons: The color seems to fade as it dries on the fabric after printing, so be prepared for a small color change. The ink looks the same as the colored square on the tube but will lighten as it dries. Also, there are very few flowers. I hope they expand their range of ink tubes. After rolling, the ink dries fairly quickly on the plate. As a result, you end up using quite a bit of ink per print.
