Review on 🔧 Dorman 749-508 Front Driver Side Window Regulator (OE FIX) - High-Quality Replacement for Select Models by Sean Purnomo

Bought this to replace a 2009 VW Routan that chewed a wire in the factory regulator (only 56,000 miles) on my car ). Lots of YouTube videos showing how to make the replacement so I was able to take it apart and install it fairly easily in about 4 hours of work. The reason this took longer than it should is probably due to two issues (which is why I only gave it 3 stars). 1) Plastic piece that holds the window on the right side of the door (towards the front of the car). ), cracked when inserting the window, but did not break completely. I assume it will eventually fail and I'll have to replace it (I saved the plastic from the original factory regulator to do this if I need it in the future). But as long as the plastic works securely and solidly.2) The left plastic that holds the glass to the regulator doesn't fit. Some other reviews have mentioned this. The distance from the bottom of the jar to where the hole in the jar is designed to hold the tab is greater than the distance between the bottom groove in the plastic and the tab. You will either need to make the groove deeper or cut a small piece of the tongue to match the window opening to the tongue. I ended up shaving off the underside of the tongue a bit to adjust it as it's easier to shape the plastic tongue when the adjuster is in place. Aside from these two issues, the installation went fine and it works fine.
