Cakes should always be at room temperature before slicing. That being said, they can be very difficult to cut - they are very tough (at least for the tough ones we love). It's easiest to cut brownies with a sharp knife, but you risk damaging the shape. I saw this and thought it was worth a try. I'm so glad I bought it! This works very well - also on the outer edges of the brownies. It cuts great and cakes don't stick to the blade - love that! Easy to clean - I hand wash. It's a quick way to clean it and you don't have to worry about it staying in the dishwasher. I read a few reviews that said it breaks too easily. I'm not sure what they do with it, but I have some recoil so I can get under the brownies and pull them out with no problem. If someone pushes too hard and bends too much I think it might break. You don't have to press hard to get under the brownies, so use a little and this knife will last.
