Review on 🔗 Shangpule Stainless Steel Metal Replacement Strap for Fitbit Ionic - Premium Bracelet Band with Folding Clasp by George Matthews

Advantages: The belt has a certain weight and looks well made. I ordered this to replace the original Ionic band as the metal in that original silicone band was irritating my skin and causing horrible swelling. (No issues with irritation from this strap after a day of wear, which is a good sign so far.) It included a handy tool for removing links in the strap for resizing. The manufacturer's support reacted quickly and after delivery of the spare parts checked whether everything was working. (We'll cover that in the Cons section.) Cons: As you'll read in other customer reviews of this strap, the buckles on this strap that attach to the Ionic are unreliable. The watch strap I ordered had a working latch and the other (although it looked identical to the working latch) would not snap on either side of the Ionic. This seems to be a common problem with the Ionic (which can even affect Fitbit's own straps). I contacted the customer support email address on the package, received a response the next business day and less than a week later received a replacement strap with the same issue. Luckily, it's actually easy to remove the latches and links, so I was able to add two working latches to the same strap and then remove a few links for a better fit. Summary: Strap is great, customer service is great, quality may need better handling due to latch issue. I would recommend this group if you are willing to take the risk of contacting support and waiting a little longer for parts. If you need spares, you may need to swap out the latches (which is easier than removing the links).
