Update: I did an overnight bike ride before our state parks closed. It has held up very well, as has my original water bottle system. This system allowed me to carry an extra dry bag for extra PNW clothing in spring (cold and possibly wet). I went for a mix of asphalt, smooth and coarse gravel with a few 4-5 inch knots. He didn't weaken or move. I still wish the straps were shorter, the buckle in better shape, and the BOA was a bit longer (this bag in the picture is 2L and that's the max I could use with the BOA length), but it has done what I hoped. I will update the review after I get back from the bike backpack. I've been using the Fidlock water bottle system for years and love it. It doesn't come loose even on bumpy dirt roads! Fork. At this time of year (March in PNW) I want to be able to wear extra clothes to layer or in case I get wet. I'm trying to add an extra 2 or 3 liter dry garment bag. Nothing heavy. My initial review: the straps were ridiculously long. Due to the conical shape I'm not sure if I should cut it. currently. The buckle is also a bit awkward so the extra part of the strap faces the wheel. I was hoping the strap material would be silicone rather than plastic. Seems ok so far but is an issue after miles of gravel riding.
