If you want a powerful kick sound with incredible clarity, this is the mic for you! Don't buy this mic on its own though, it's best to use it with another kick mic in the resonant porthole of the head. Not that the 91a couldn't be used on its own. I use the beta91a as a kick mic and place it in the drum next to the head. I've used it with Audix D6 and beta52a, both have had amazing results with 91a! Adds a completely different dimension to the kick drum sound. My application is intended for use in live sound. Can't say enough good things about this Beta91a. Do it now! Push the button!
