I really wanted an oversized boyfriend sweater fit, with off-the-shoulder swag & exaggerated puffy sleeves, so I took a chance and ordered a size up. I have long arms & a long torso, and the bigger size accomodates me comfortably in those areas. Normally I would wear a Large in something like this, but I got an XL instead. The XL sweater gives me the relaxed fit I wanted, with sexy slouch in all the right places!The material is super soft - almost like a chenille - and the petite cable knit pattern is very classy. The weave is tight; the stitching is clean & even, with no rouge threads or random pulls/snags. This sweater features a wide boat neckline which looks great worn straight across. BUT pulling it down off one shoulder really ramps up the playful, flirty vibe. The bat-wing sleeves have a little extra fabric on the ends & are finished with a wide, ribbed elastic cuff which lends itself to the puffy, blousy, bell sleeves. The cuff has really good stretch memory too, so you can push the sleeves up on warmer evenings. Wearing the cuff pushed up to a 3/4 sleeve gives the sweater a completely different look. This is a lightweight sweater, which makes it a great piece for transitioning into fall. You can absolutely layer a camisole underneath as well, for a bit more warmth when the seasons change & temps begin to drop.Another thing I found appealing about this sweater, (when considering it for purchase), was the flexibility on laundering. The instructions state that this garment can be machine washed, or washed by hand. I put mine inside a laundry bag & machine washed it on a delicate cycle in cold water. There are no directions included for drying. I just laid it flat to air dry (as per usual for all my sweaters, so that it doesn't get twisted up & lose its shape). I was truly surprised at how well this knit garment held up in the washer, though. It didn't distort, pill, or fade, and there wasn't any shrinkage! I need more pieces in my wardrobe to behave like this! LOLAll in all, I am thrilled with the look, fit & feel of this sweater, and I am equally as thrilled that it's so easy to care for. I am happy to give this piece my full recommendation. :) For reference: I am 5'9" and weigh 180 lbs. I normally wear a size Large top, and 12/14 bottoms. I purchased an XL.
