I bought this to tame my cat when I moved to a new apartment. I wanted to remove them from the window sills, the kitchen counter, the TV stand. Five stars! As soon as their paws touch him, they spring back like stepping on a cactus. In less than a week they had already stopped climbing the windows. I think I'll leave it for a month or so and delete it. BUT it sticks; really good. So be careful how you use it. I decided to put strips of cheap contact paper on the ledges and everywhere and put clear tape over the contact paper; that's what it says in the newspaper against my house. That is shown. In the kitchen I worked up courage and put it right on the countertop (which holds it up) but I also stuck to it so I decided to remove it from there and although it lifted slightly, there is a sticky residue , which I now have to remove. So I recommend preparing the surface with contact paper as it will fit snugly provided that the contact paper even temporarily sticks fairly well to the sofa sides and fabric. Note: I also bought a roll of plastic cat spikes, which you lay out, the cat will jump and step on the harmless plastic spike. That would probably work, but it doesn't come in flat sheets, so it's not possible. to let it lay flat so it can't be used in those spots unless I used a construction stapler to hold it. This tape works great!
