We bought it because we had version 1 for over ten years. I thought it was the same, and basically it is. Well done, beautiful to look at. The changes are not for the better. There is no way to set the oven to turn off after 4 minutes. The old model would turn after "dark" and hit a 30 minute stop. It would turn off automatically. The new model has only toast settings on the right and "forever" on the left. What is a fire hazard to me.2. The new tray slides (poorly) on the rack rails. The old tray, although smaller, sat on top of the shelf and was easily removed and replaced, making it easier to turn items around. Why do companies change something good without even mentioning the change?
