I need something big enough to hold my growing collection of hats/gloves/scarves for my family of 5. big enough. This basket was too big for my closet shelf but perfect for the closet bottom. It's strong but not rigid. The sides flex when pressure is applied, but it stands up on its own with no problem. He is light. I am happy with the purchase. This is slightly larger than the size of a large pack of paper towels.
