The product is certainly not flimsy, but also absolutely incomprehensible (optically correct). You definitely have a distorted image. I look through the windshield, but not always. When I actually had to look through the extension, the field of view was incredibly distorted, almost dizzying. Cannot be used if you are looking through the shield while driving. But in other areas it worked, kept the bugs off my helmet, made the ride quieter, and the helmet wobbled a lot less. So if you need to view the device, it's just dangerous. If not, then this is an economical option. I have to give it two stars because these days you should be able to make a visually correct extension that works and doesn't create a potentially dangerous situation on your bike.
