This colander/bowl set is functional but by no means a high-end kitchen tool. Think of a dollar store or department store when it comes to the quality of the material used to make this product. I've used it to wash and dry grapes, lettuce and the like. It holds about six cups of fruit and veg in a smaller colander and drains nicely into a larger partner bowl, but I'm hesitant to use it to drain hot pasta or veggies because the plastic is flimsy. Not sure if it will withstand heat over time without warping. At this price I would expect a higher quality product.
