Review on Rene Furterer NATURIA Dry Shampoo: Oil-Absorbing Clay, Beige Tint & Light Scent by Jamie Sorenson

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Maybe not great for long, thick hair

I have long, thick, dark hair and didn't care for this dry shampoo. I've tried a few other brands/types (wet, dry/clay dry/talc, dry/rice powder) and had better luck. I bought this to try particularly because it was consistently high-rated, but it wasn't for me.My biggest problem was the feeling of product build-up. I followed the instructions and then some (with clay dry shampoos, I usually have to comb out afterwards a bit longer/more thoroughly) and immediately felt like there was extra 'stuff' in my hair. The scent is nice but really light, too light to cover up the unwashed hair smell. A few hours into the day when I finger combed my hair, clay dust coated my hand. I tried to shake out whatever product was still trapped in my hair, but it just seemed like the product was sitting in my hair, not really doing anything to the oils it's supposed to absorb during application.Maybe this works better for fine hair. It would probably be best for lighter colored hair too, since it comes out white.

Pros
  • Leaves hair feeling refreshed and clean
Cons
  • May create an artificial or unnatural appearance to hair

Only dry shampoo I would use. None of the others give the softness, volume and freshly washed hair feel like this dry shampoo. And also, it doesn''t leave white residue like all the others. A must have for me
