Review on PARIS RHÔNE Pan Tilt Temperature Reminder by Shannon Redd

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very good multifunctional baby monitor!

Today I'm looking at the Paris Rhone baby monitor and let me be clear, this thing is really good. So, without further ado, let's see how this device works. The first thing that struck me about this device is the image quality. I used to use cheaper video monitors, usually when the lighting wasn't perfect you couldn't really tell what you were looking at. It's not a problem with this thing, you can see what's going on pretty clearly. It's not a high-end TV, of course, but it's a baby monitor, if you can clearly see what's going on then it matters. It's clear enough to keep an eye on what's happening, and you won't miss anything important along the way. I also found myself a fan of the noise detection, which seems to work pretty well. It didn't take long to sound that alarm and let us know that the camera detected noise, which is good for reassurance. The camera controls work quite effectively. It's quiet enough not to be a problem for sleeping babies and fluid enough that you won't miss what you're looking for when trying to track movement. I like this function very much. The battery for the video screen lasts quite well. I haven't had a chance to test it long enough to drain the battery, but I've had no problems. In terms of signal distance, it worked well anywhere in my house, and we also tested from the curb in front of my house. House at the very end of my backyard and it was completely covered. I'd say this device should cover most households and if your house is too big for one you're probably buying for a much higher price anyway. sounding a bit artificial, for lack of a better word. This applies to both speaking through the device and playing lullabies. It's not that bad though, I'd give it a point, just nothing to write home about. It reminds me of Nextel's chirp hands-free quality if I had to describe it with a known point source. It does what it's supposed to do, but certainly won't be used outside of its main application. To complete the additional features, the temperature sensor seems to work well, as does the feeding reminder. I should note that this isn't a true Wi-Fi camera system, it's just configured to work with the portable display that comes with it. For some, this is a minus, for someone a plus, since it is much safer. It also means it's very easy to set up, but don't expect to be able to check on your child with this setup while you're in the office. If you need this functionality, you'll need to look elsewhere. Overall, I'm very happy to recommend this device. This is definitely an improvement over entry-level baby monitors.

Pros
  • I'm keeping my fingers crossed
Cons
  • Lots of stuff
