I know they're cheap but they're poorly designed. They don't foam. They are made from sheets of foam that are fired around the edges to form a pocket, like ravioli. Bumps that don't fit within the microphone body can move or vibrate, sometimes adding a hum or pop to the sound. Probably better than nothing in the wind, but you get what you pay for.
