We used this to hold our tablecloth on our patio table because we didn't want to stick anything on it or put things on it when there were a lot of kids around. I looped them around the edge to attach to the sides of the table top (a metal table of course) - it worked great and we didn't need any bulky or dangling brackets. Great strength, but not so strong that you can't take it off, but strong enough that small children can't take it off. Great hack!
