I am amazed at how well the product is made, just magically!

Overclocked to 4.4GHz and stopped there. The boost in frequency by eye accelerated the processing of photo and video content by about the same amount.
In a word, on the desktop, this is the best option to get decent multi-threaded performance. Cheaper - either fewer cores from Intel, or weaker "glues" (4x2, 3x2.) from AMD. If more threads are needed, then these not quite desktop solutions will begin .

Pros

Performance. For example, DxO Optics responded very positively to the increase in the number of cores compared to the i7 920. hyperthreading. 12 threads and that says it all Decent overclocking potential.
