The Best in the World - by the man who brushed 55,000 times - plus info on the 3 month replacement rule

I'm 80 years old, have most of my teeth and have used A LOT toothbrushes. I estimate that I've brushed my teeth with a toothbrush about 55,000 times. This brush is the best I've ever had. The brushes are durable, and the true ergonomic handle design and angle of the brushes make the toothbrush very easy to use correctly - cleans the inside and outside of the teeth vertically, not across. Because they last so long (see next paragraph) and because proper dental care prolongs life, I bought 30 - enough for the rest of my life. I spotted these brushes at our grocery store and bought them from Revain due to limited supply. Now they're out of the store, confirming the rule that all good products will sooner or later be withdrawn from sale or made worse by the manufacturer. So buy these because the price is right, they are amazing brushes and they seem to be getting harder and harder to find. Added later: The first brush is still strong. The bristles keep their shape and stiffness (soft), and the ergonomic design is still extremely comfortable. About the general recommendation to replace all toothbrushes after three months. Thanks for all answers to my question. I've researched that in the meantime. The CDC cites only one study on the subject. The study found that after three to four months of use, there was no evidence of bacterial build-up in toothbrushes, particularly when they were washed in hot water after each use and kept upright outdoors. The only reason to replace your toothbrush in these conditions is bristle damage or disease. You can view the study on the CDC website.
