This ADATA DashDrive may not be the fastest USB 3.0 drive, but according to speed tests using SpeedOut 0.5 and Check Flash 1.16, it's as fast as advertised (when connected to a USB 3.0 port): Read/Write 41.52/18.41 (MB/s) DashDrive's read speed drops significantly when plugged into a USB 2.0 port, but write speed remains about the same: read/write25. 97 / 17.32 (MB/s) The numbers stayed the same when I copied over 2GB JPG files to DashDrive. The body is made entirely of plastic, so it's not as strong as the extruded aluminum models. On the other hand, it's not that expensive. The capless design is a plus (no caps to lose). On the other hand, the plastic stick designed for the keychain is quite thin and looks elegant. Bottom line for me is that the ADATA DashDrive UV128/16GB offers a good amount of storage space in a handy lidless body that's fast enough for little money. If you need a faster (but more expensive) flash drive, take a look at Sandisk Extreme USB 3.0.
