After redoing our entire main floor and removing the removed surface that contained the trim I bought this for ours smooth surface . Walls, "just in case", the wall broke. A few days after receiving this, my baby bee gun (sp?) - not mine - accidentally fired in my hallway. I was surprised at how much damage the accident had done to my wall, but the next day I applied a roll-on deodorant-style wall putty knife, let it dry, sanded lightly, and painted over. There is no longer any evidence that the accident happened and the repair was as easy as it needs to be for our new smooth walls showing every dent and scratch.
