My puppy was going to be spayed and I was looking for an alternative to her having to wear a cone around her neck after the surgery. I spoke with several vets and they all suggested getting a compression vest. I found this one and ordered it. I had her wear it for several days before surgery so she could get used to it, and when she had the surgery they immediately put this on her. She had freedom of movement and could easily go in and out of her doggie door. I took it off after three days and washed it then put it right back on, she never once had any stress and she was healed up in no time. It was so much better than those cones I suggest that at this price point that its a great alternative.
