I received a used item in an open box that is not working properly. Wire #2 is dead!

Update… The second one worked great until it broke. I was flying my quadcopter Thursday night and it wouldn't connect to my iPad. I tried again on Friday and it worked. Then when I was about 1/4 mile over the Pacific Ocean filming some porpoises I lost the video signal. I couldn't tell which way my quadcopter was facing at such a distance to fly back. Luckily the home button worked for me and I didn't lose my quadcopter. I've used other cables and my device connects fine, but now it won't connect at all with this cable. I cleaned it and connected it properly. It just didn't work anymore. They sent me a used and previously opened box with the plug dangling in plastic and not working all the time.
