Overpriced junk - no dial tone
Bought this phone for my elderly mother. Plugged in, no beep. The caretaker at her nursing home looked at me and said the problem was that the button on the phone kept breaking and not being pressed, meaning he didn't see how to fix it. To prove his point, he plugged in another landline phone and it worked fine. I return the phone and look elsewhere. Maybe a replacement will work, but for such a high price I expect an initial quality check.
