I don't use these towels as washcloths, I use them as spare kitchen towels. They are the perfect thickness for this purpose. I think if I was going to use them to clean floors, sinks, bathtubs etc I might need a heavier cloth. The thinner microfiber cloth is perfect for my kitchen because I can use it however I want, so I'm 100% satisfied. The edges are shaded. The ones I've washed haven't shrunk or warped so I'm happy with them. These are lighter weight cleaning wipes in my opinion, not heavy duty wipes. Good value for money and perfect for my purposes. I have arthritis in my hands so I can't handle thick, heavy tissue easily and I like the feel of what I'm doing.
