It's cheap so I didn't expect perfection but I expected it to at least work. When I was in the military I used American generation 2, 3 and 4 night vision goggles. And several times I happened to study Russian-made night vision devices of the 1st and 2nd generation. And even the crappy glasses of the Soviet era were better than this junk! The one I got seems stuck at max zoom. If I were looking across the open field at the line of trees, I could only see a branch of the tree in the center of my field of view. I tried to look at the person across the room (8 to 10 feet) and all I could see was an eye, a nose, or whatever. In addition, its design resembled a cheap toy. The controls were simple and straightforward, but since Zoom was stuck at its maximum I gave it one star.
