I received it today and quickly installed it in my CX-5. I use it more like a hammock net for the back seat than on the floor to keep things in place, I have an all weather mat for that. I installed it like this: I took the clips and placed 2 on the left side on the latch where the left side rear seat attaches and 2 on the right side where the right side rear seat attaches (you require the rear seats to be unlocked ). I took the loop on the lower left side and attached it to the zip tie on the left side, straight down from the rear seat latches and on the right side. To do this, I unbuttoned the tie, pulled the loop over and around the bottom, and then tied the tie. It's pretty tight but I like it, it keeps things from dangling. Only time will tell on the clamps but the grid is working well at the moment and the price is right.
