Decent address strip with Bluetooth app control

This is one of the new styles of LED strips that uses an addressable chip instead of four RGBC wires (red, green, blue, common) has (black square) on each tape segment. So all three LEDs can be any color controlled by this chip. That's why they refer to 50 pixels for 150 LED strips. The onboard controller is fairly basic with three buttons: one to toggle power, one to select mode, and one to toggle brightness settings. Choosing a mode offers few random variables and music-driven settings. It would be nice if there was a direct way to control spot colors. However, through their Android app, you have the option to set solid colors or other different modes. The app doesn't have any reviews yet, so I was a bit nervous about installing another unknown app from an unknown Chinese manufacturer. It showed Google Play Protect on boot, but there's no other indication that it's secure. It is currently only in the 100+ Downloads category and has no reviews. I only tested the color mode control, which seems to work pretty well, although initially it didn't want to pair with the bluetooth controller. Tri-color LEDs aren't the best I've seen, but they certainly aren't the worst. With all the white, there's still some blue cast, particularly on the sides, and you still see some individual colors rather than a combined color, especially when you turn off the power. When used in a reflective application where the strip isn't visible this isn't usually a problem unless the LEDs are just rubbish, but if you can see the strip, as you probably want here with the light show, is it important to have good LEDs. Overall, while I can't give it a full five stars as I think it could do better for the price, it's certainly in the 4.5 star range. At least as long as the app is running. This is a potential weak point here.
