I don't usually write reviews but since pets are our children I had a strong urge to write one so others looking for options for a cat with bladder stones can find the food they need . My 4 year old Maine Coon started to come out of her crate and all of a sudden she started bleeding. I rushed her to the vet to find out she had bladder stones and needed urgent surgery, which cost me $2,300. After the surgery I was told that she needed a fancy lunch bag every 2-3 weeks which would cost around $30. I winced. I started researching and found that dry cat food is terrible. I bought from the number 1 seller here at Revain and thought it would be ok for my kids. It is not. I then found the chart by googling "high protein, low carb wet cat food”. There is a huge list compiled by a vet listing the %. Most of the products on the list are expensive, and this is where I found the holy grail! This Meox Mix Tender Favorites SALMON and CRAB contains 68% protein and 3% carbohydrates. Another flavor that works in this diet would be Meox Mix Tender Favorites TUNA and SHRIMP, which is 66% protein and 2% carbs. My cats LOVE this. I buy 4 packs a month and they share a container twice a day. Then I have a dry feed for the pasture, because they are used to that too. I also add some water in there, although it has a lot of liquid and some pumpkin. Cats need water! They are not big water drinkers and this brand and flavors hit the spot for our family! The worst for cats of this brand are turkey & cheese and salmon. Don't buy these if your cat has bladder stones. Hope that helps!
