I mainly use these small humidifiers in my room when we turn on the heating so my sinuses don't dry out in winter because large humidifiers/vaporizers scare me they are on difficult to set up/refill in small space. Bought to replace my favorite little USB humidifier (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0794T3TK8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) which was having trouble with the spray after a while. more than a year due to the formation of deposits on the mechanisms from the use of tap water. My old one had a large tank at the bottom with a small top that wasn't attached which posed a spill hazard if you tried to lift it from the top, but the base was large enough to hold securely during the ride/filling AND day after Day did not require much refueling as it automatically shuts off after 6-8 hours regardless of the amount in the tank. And it looked like a Tardis, win-win for me. Very sad when he died. After placing an order, I received an email and message from Revain saying NOT to use deionized water (which prevents scaling). The news claims it will reduce atomization, which sounds dubious. Haven't tried it yet but plan to switch to deionized water so it lasts longer. I've used this 3 times recently with the recommended tap water. It is easy to fill, the tank at the bottom can be easily removed. Quiet whispers, not even a single bubble can be heard. A single press of the button turns on both the changing light and the fixed current (I want only vapor to turn on, no light). Press and hold the button, it will fix it to a specific color at the moment, press and hold it again, it will turn off the light but leave vapor. Press again to set intermittent mode for vapor flow without light. The main downside for me is that the tank is on the bottom and is easy to remove, meaning you're more likely to spill it if you need to move it. DO NOT lift it with a full tank on top, even if you think it's secured! It opens and falls down, leaving a giant, watery mess on whatever surface it lands on. Happened to me when I had to move it just a few inches to loosen the cord I was using, water all over the floor and my bedside table. The bottom tank is quite small, so lifting it up at the base is a bit odd. The included cable is VERY short, luckily I have a 6ft micro USB cable instead. Consumes almost a full water tank during the night with a constant flow. I say "almost" because the cotton wick doesn't reach the bottom of the tank, so there's always some left over when it cuts off. Maybe these complaints of mine are irrelevant to someone else, I just find them annoying. Conclusion: It blows a lot of steam, shines brightly and does what it promises. Good for a bedroom or small office. If you're running a cube farm, make sure the humidifier is within a few feet of you to take advantage of the steam.
