Due to my son's distance learning we bought him a laptop and hooked up an extra monitor which I had but when he was somewhere other than my 'home office' "Had to be his laptop, turning off the monitor, ethernet, external keyboard, etc was such a pain. This dock fits perfectly and allows him to easily connect the USB-C cable to his laptop to connect all his peripherals. Unfortunately, the laptop's power requirements prevent it from also using a docking station for power, but the transition from multiple cables to a power cord and USB is great.
