I bought this punch to replace my old swingline that was on the verge of falling apart and I have to say I couldn't help but love it be more pleased this. Although I had never heard of the PaperPro brand, I decided to buy it after reading the good reviews. PaperPro is made of metal and is very well made. The base has a gloss black finish and the push handle is glossy and durable. The base features a built-in ruler and paper guide to ensure letter-size paper holes are positioned precisely every time. The punch rests on a non-slip pad that prevents the PaperPro from sliding on the surface. The punch also features a handle lock that is activated by simply pushing the lock switch to the left, effectively locking the handle in the down position for easy storage. All of this is fine, but the main advantage of this hole punch is the ease of making holes. I use my PaperPro punch frequently and each punch is consistently light and smooth. Even when punching 20 sheets, the handle is easy to squeeze and is significantly lighter than any punch I've used before, with the exception of electric punches, of course. The handle is large and very stable, making punching even easier. On the back of the punch is a fairly standard plastic retractable hole collector. Overall I am very happy with the PaperPro hole punch and will definitely buy stationery from them again.
