Worst purchase in years

I rarely write customer reviews. Only when I really like something (like El Silencio Lodge in Costa Rica) or when I really think a product is crap (like this vacuum cleaner). *Nothing* about this vacuum is comfortable or easy to use. Despite the marketing hype. You can't just switch from wood/tile to carpet with a foot pedal. You use a pressure pedal to turn the rollers on and off, but you have to manually adjust the height of the vacuum, which means you have to be upside down if you're 6ft 2in like me. So the pressure pedal turns the roller on and off, but you still have to stop and lean forward to adjust to the new surface. the back of the vacuum cleaner. If you switch off the roller, then nothing worth mentioning accumulates because the suction power is not enough to pull it past the small opening and the fixed brush. If you switch to carpet and turn on the brush, the whole thing turns into a boat anchor. Whether it's a low pile, like oriental rugs, or a high pile, like area rugs or bath rugs, it's like dragging dead weight across a rug. Speaking of bathroom rugs, you can forget about vacuuming anything like a scattered rug, bath rug, kitchen rug, doormat, etc. No matter what height you use, he'll just ball it up and swallow it. Put a furniture nozzle on it and its power is barely enough to get the roller spinning. Touch the sofa cushion and it will stop. That makes no sense. The wand has a very narrow opening and in practice resembles a large needle more than a wand, and like the main vacuum it struggles to pick up more than one dusty rabbit. And just like adjusting the floor height, you have to stop and manually rotate the adjuster between the floor and the stick. This means you keep forgetting to turn on the brush when you use it and vacuuming large areas of the floor with the brush on when you forget to turn it off. . For example: The canister is not properly aligned with the hose inlet, often resulting in the hose barely working or the inlet clogging due to something getting stuck. And even when it's level, the space between the inlet and the bin's grate is so narrow that (a) it gets clogged with things you're vacuuming, and (b) when you empty the bin, you have to reach out and pulling out hair and stuff, that's always fun. Similarly, the power cord attaches to the bottom of the vacuum rather than the top of the handle, so you're constantly walking on the cord even if you're holding it, unless you're holding it taut when it tires out pretty quickly. . Speaking of the canister, removing it is easy, but to empty it you have to pull the lever at the bottom of the canister. Count on getting all the dirt and debris from the canister onto your hands when you open it. which doesn't matter since you still have to get inside to unclog it. Resetting the bin can be difficult. when he often doesn't want to snap and almost never matches the wand input connector. There's also a leg guard that you have to use to tilt the vacuum (you can't just pull it back and work like a Dyson). Because of this, moving from surface to surface is also tedious. I'm sorry. but this vacuum cleaner is the worst purchase I've made in years. I curse every time I take it out of the closet. It's only a few months old and I'm already buying a new vacuum cleaner. I just can't take it anymore.
