In my search for a water bottle that will last, this bottle is the answer. Ever since I was in school as a kid, the problem of water bottles has always frustrated me greatly. I can't find a suitable bottle that lasts long. I tried many different brands on the market but none of them could give me a satisfying experience. If an ordinary water bottle is full of water and falls to the ground, it will be damaged by the impact. But Klean Kanteen stainless steel is very durable. I tried dropping it once and it shows no obvious damage. Very wear resistant. I also have the classic Klean Kanteen. But I definitely recommend getting this wide-mouth version if you can. Reason: thread design. The classic Klean Kanteen has the threads built in. While the wide-mouth version has threads on the outer surface. This is an important aspect that I think most people miss. Imagine using it for a long time, say more than 3 years. Wear and tear from unscrewing the cap will inevitably result in some loose particles. In the version with a wide neck, the thread is on the outside. With no direct contact with water, this is a much better choice than the classic version.
