I love these things. I use them to wind up extensions, tie down a tarp. I use them to hold a lever on a lawnmower so I can release it and keep the engine running, for example to pick up a branch or move something out of the way. I use them in vacuums and carpet cleaners to wrap and secure cords without having to wind up the fancy setup that the manufacturer has to wrap around the cord. Tube bundles, tubes, dowels. Roll up the hoses. Hang tools, tie wrenches, keep drawers closed with worn latches or latches that don't work well anyway. I hang water jugs on the tarps to hold the tarp in place out of the wind or to tie it tight so it doesn't sag and collect rainwater.
