Difficult to use: kitchen and dining room

I have had this item for a while but was unable to use it immediately upon arrival. Finally I could use it. It's difficult to use. The handles are too small to grasp. The blades are not sharp enough to cut. Washing must be done by hand and thoroughly, as food residue gets stuck between the grooved part of the blade and the dishwasher does not remove food residue.
