My senior dog was showing signs of arthritis and I had to change her bed to provide more comfort and support. I took 4" thick foam and cut it into 20" x 20" squares. I then put them in a European size zippered square "protective pad" to solve allergy and waterproof issues. THEN that will Whole wrapped up in this duvet cover. My little fluffy baby loves her new crib and took to it straight away! I only have one complaint. If the filler isn't heavy enough, the entire bed will slide a little when your pet gets out of bed. A Grip pads underneath or sock paint will help prevent this My love has since died but I'm writing this review to help other pet owners find an inexpensive solution to their pet's orthopedic needs :) It's a simple but worthwhile project.
