So make sure you have something solid to screw on to. - Tile so it was easy for me to add 2x4 behind the shower head to accommodate it. Another factor is that there is no depth flexibility. When the tapered pipe thread reaches the bottom, that is the installation depth. So either make sure the pipe can move back and forth in the wall or do something else.
