Review on πŸ”Œ DHT Electronics 2pcs RF Coaxial Coax Adapter: BNC Female to UHF Male PL-259 PL259 - Secure Connectivity for Optimal Signal Transmission by Linda Wiley

Threaded part of PL259 is too long

Threaded part of PL259 case is too long. The PL259 cylinder bumps against the body of what I'm connecting to in front of the shield "bolts" (the part of PL259 that engages the lugs on the end of SO239 to prevent cable and pin rotation), even with contact the ridges of SO239. The connector is tightened, but the cable and BNC connector continue to rotate when the PL259 housing is lowered. This could damage the internal pin along with the connector on the SO239 it is connected to. I think it will be a great connector if you can shave about 0.1" from the end of the PL259 body (NOT the pin). This should be enough for the PL259 to fully engage and prevent the inner pin from rotating.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • There are some nuances
