These slippers saved my life. My daughter has just started wearing orthotics and none of the shoes fit her. I've tried different types of Mary Janes based on other customer reviews that mentioned SMO but still didn't work for them so I finally found them and no longer have to go barefoot! We put socks under the SMO suspenders and then put on these slippers so it fits us but I don't think they are warm enough to go outside. If given a choice, I would only wear them indoors, especially on hardwood floors. which can be very slippery when wearing only socks. The rubber outsole is very flexible and feels thick enough to last a while. Fit wise I think they are true to size but I read other reviews as I had to go up a size due to braces. I haven't washed them yet so I can't rate them.
