Dirty cook? Gotcha Covered – With Benefits

I love to cook and while I'm far from a pro, I know that with the right tools in the kitchen, working in the kitchen can be a lot easier for everyone. One of the basic kitchen essentials that many chefs don't give much thought to is their apron. I admit that it was only in later years that I realized how much help they could be in getting the job done. The things I look for in an apron go beyond just wearing an apron to keep your clothes clean while you work. But while we're at it, let me just say that this apron gave me fantastic coverage without limiting what I needed to do. I'm 5'3" and just above my knees. Starting with the top of the apron I found the adjustable neck strap very comfortable to use. It's well made to be durable with leather to attach the strap to the apron , and has a comfortable cotton strap that sits comfortably on your neck without irritating your skin or heating you up from heating the material while you work. The stitching of the strap ends to the denim of the apron is reliable, even and tight, with no protruding Threads or wefts. A short torso is a key feature for me to adjust the fit. The denim material of the apron, while light in overall weight, is not in performance. Food splashed onto an apron will not seep in through the denim my clothes, which of course is a major reason for having an apron at all.The denim material is treated with a water-repellent and quick-drying finish and d thus ideal for protection when preparing sauces for working at the bar. Functionality and ease of getting the job done are the next important reason for me. This denim apron has 3 front pockets. The top center pocket is embellished with a leather Dalstrong logo, adding a touch of class and professional sophistication to the apron. The depth of the pocket is ideal for thermometers and pens. There are two durable deep pockets for general purpose at the center of the apron on the sides. On the inside of the apron, behind the left front pocket, there is an original and well thought-out inner pocket. I found this perfect for storing non-kitchen items that I didn't necessarily want to leave on my counter while I worked. This is the bag I now mostly use for my phone when I'm cooking. The final feature of the apron that allows for a customized and personalized fit are the side straps. These straps are made from the same material as the cotton side of the collar. Sewing is secure and the straps are flexible and easy to tie at the back. It's long enough to fit almost any waist size, and special attention has been paid to the design of the shoulder straps to prevent fraying. I have washed this apron with my regular clothes and I can tell you that after washing it looks the same as it did after washing (but cleaner and doesn't smell like food). To prevent wrinkles (I hate ironing) I simply took the apron off and hung it up just before the end of the drying cycle. Seems very easy to care for. For this home man, I've found that this apron is basically all I need in the kitchen.
