The pieces here may be small, but they are cooked like an adult. And they are dishwasher safe. I probably wouldn't put the glaze tube in the dishwasher, but pretty much anything else would. I'm impressed with the weight and quality of the tools. Lighter objects such as cookie cutters are also sufficient for use in the kitchen. Parts of it easily fit into an ordinary kitchen. They are strong and useful. This is a great little set that will make the little chef feel like they're making an important contribution. In fact, I had to borrow a measuring cup. I also liked the sharp tool's safety features. I'm a big fan of silicone bakeware, but that's below me and silicone. We just don't get along.
