Cremo "Thickening Paste" is similar to the American Crew Fiber I've used before, but more difficult to work with. It's very thick - you have to use some force to pull it out of the container and then you have to work it between your fingers for more than 30 seconds before it's soft enough to penetrate your hair. Even then I sometimes had small white tufts in my hair. It's described as a "hard hold" but I found it more like a medium/soft hold. I have short (2-3 inches) straight thin hair and I use products like this to add a bit of texture and volume to my hair. It wasn't enough to keep my hair straight for long, even though I used it more than other products (like American Crew). Overall this product is good but I have used others that work better and are easier to use.
