I opened the box and pulled everything out to assemble. When I reached the last leg of the table, I noticed that the piece of wood in the corner with the holes was upside down. I tried unscrewing it but found it was glued too. So I couldn't finish putting my foot on it safely. I decided to assemble it with the table top attached with three legs and one leg partially occupied until I got a reply from Top Drawer Furniture because I didn't want to leave it unassembled for who knows how long. They offered to send it back to them for a full refund. I didn't want to disassemble it and put it in a box. I wanted fair compensation for damaged goods. Meanwhile the top of the lift was raised and my kid put some elbow pressure on it and the entire top came loose from the screws secured by the manufacturer and luckily my other kid caught the table top before it fell off. I went to fix the screws and found that the wood had partially chipped off due to cracks - and it's not the best wood so the screws definitely need some extra support if you're really going to use the board for anything while she's upstairs - who needs a table what lifts you can't really weight? Well I tried my best to tighten the bolts thinking maybe the company didn't fully tighten them anyway. nope The next time a little pressure was applied to him, they all erupted again. Top Drawer Furniture offered me a 20% discount or box it up and send it back for a full refund for something that could really hurt my kids if my older kid doesn't get the top both times. I emailed them again because I was not happy with their response. Finally we came to an acceptable solution. This is a cute table.
