I am considering this model, bought from another seller, I will not comment on the price. I was skeptical about the claimed accuracy, especially with regard to the spirit level that was set. Surprisingly, as accurately as one could guess on a glass bottle of such small format, it matches the level of Starrett's machinist. So that's a plus. However, if you need that level of accuracy, you should use a level like Starrett. Aligning a laser line with the laser mounted on a properly leveled milling machine and verified at 5 feet is flat in a practical sense as the line is about 0.070 wide and about 0.040 at the laser aperture. I think this could still be improved. are a combination of battery holder/switch and target. When the "switch" is unscrewed far enough to disconnect the battery, the O-ring that seals it doesn't actually touch the case, keeping it loose and open to the elements. I'm going to cut something big. Also, good luck removing the batteries. The magnets pull the last one aside, and you have to knock it out. Ideal for precision instruments. And goals. The good thing is that they are mostly accurate, the difference between them is about 0.015, which is certainly enough for their direct purpose. But. The end that presses against the pulley being tested is quite thin due to the recessed magnet. Any wear will affect accuracy over time (wear will occur when used on cast iron pulleys). It might not be a problem in a practical sense, but for this price it could be a better design. I then lubricated them with Superlube food grade grease and they are fine, but again precision hard anodized threads or some UHMW inserts would be more appropriate. All in all, it's worth about half the retail price in my opinion. Although the competition is probably the same.
