I bought this inverter to start a small electric motor. After some research it became clear that you need to use a pure sine wave inverter if you want to run the motor reliably. It is best to use a deeply discharged 12 V motorhome battery only with the cables supplied. The starting current of the electric motor consumes very little current from the 12V battery.
