I bought this inverter to start a small electric motor. After some research it became clear that you need to use a pure sine wave inverter if you want to run the motor reliably. It is best to use a deeply discharged 12 V motorhome battery only with the cables supplied. The starting current of the electric motor consumes very little current from the 12V battery. Controls the voltage at the input of the inverter and at the battery when starting the electric motor. When starting the engine, the voltage across the inverter dropped by about 1.5-1.7V. After the engine accelerated, it decreased.
