Two months have passed and everything works perfectly. I use it about twice a week for about 90 minutes. everyone. It's nice and bright. It smelled like burning plastic for the first two hours, but I haven't noticed it since. Dec 2017 - burned out with 67 hours of use as reported by the projector (seems closer to 100-150 but the projector log says 67). It's worked great up to this point, but that's an extremely short lifespan. The rating has been changed from 4 to 2 stars. Edit - When I took the bulb out and examined it, I noticed that the butt joint between the wire from the bulb and the wire to the plug was badly rusted. I took it off and replaced it with a new one, put the bulb back in and it works! I'm not changing my assessment because I don't think most people want to or can't, but it's nice to know there's more life in a lightbulb.
